What is Right to Choose?
If your GP agrees you should be referred for an ADHD assessment, you may choose an NHS‑funded provider for your care through NHS Right to Choose (RTC).
Cambridgeshire & Peterborough ICB has approved the following ADHD providers under its Adult ADHD Accreditation Framework.

What do these providers offer?
Approved providers are expected to provide:
- ADHD assessment
- Diagnosis where appropriate
- Medication titration
- Shared care requests to your GP
- Annual medication reviews
Shared Care Agreements
If ADHD medication is recommended:
- The specialist provider usually starts and adjusts (titrates) medication.
- Once your medication is stable, your GP may continue prescribing under a Shared Care Agreement , if this is safe and in line with local policies.
- The specialist provider remains responsible for ongoing specialist reviews.
Please note:
- Shared care remains a clinical decision made by your GP and is not automatic.
- GP practices must follow local prescribing policies and work within available capacity.
- Many NHS GP surgeries, including ours, do not enter shared care with non‑NHS or non‑accredited private ADHD providers because of capacity and safety concerns. In those cases, all prescribing and monitoring should remain with the private provider.
- Patients should discuss any questions about shared care with their GP practice.
