We will be forming a Patient Participation Group. If you are interested in being on the committee, please contact the practice for more information.
The majority of our hospital appointments are now made electronically via the Choose & Book system. Unless you specify otherwise, our secretary will select the next available appointment showing on the system for you. Details of the appointment will be sent to you in the post (or we can email the details if you prefer).
Please ensure your contact details (including mobile number, email address etc) are up to date so the secretary can contact you about your referral appointment if necessary.
We are soon to form the Cambridge City cluster of practices, along with Lensfield Road Medical Practice, Huntingdon Road Surgery, Bridge Street Surgery, Red House Surgery and Trumpington Street Medical Practice.
If you would like to opt-out of the Summary Care Records scheme, you must complete and sign a form. Please ask at Reception for a form should you require one.
We have had a good uptake of patients registering for Emis Access, which allows patients to order repeat prescriptions and book appointments online.
If you are interested in registering for this service, please ask at reception.
If you would like to consider a Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptive such as an IUD, an implant or an injection, please make an appointment with Dr Jane Wilson to discuss suitable options.
As a practice we continually monitor our prescribing with the PCT prescribing advisers to ensure that our patients receive the most cost effective and medically appropriate treatment.
We are currently reviewing certain medication in line with the Cambridgeshire Primary Care Trust formulary drugs, and as a result you may find that particular medications have been switched. These switches are usually changes from a generic to a brand of the same drug (or vice-versa) or are switches to an equivalent drug.
You will be informed if any of these switches affect you. Unless otherwise specified, there is no need to discuss the switch with a GP or nurse and you are able to continue taking your medication without any change to the usage.
If you would like more information regarding prescribing quality or any particular medication switches, please do not hesitate to contact us.
